Singing is an expression of emotion and if you’re hoping to develop new skills and abilities or hone existing ones, no matter the genre, SC is the Music Place for you.
Lessons focus on improving vocal range, ear training, breath control, enunciation and more as students train with instructor Sandra Canizares to set individual goals while working toward sounding like their favorite recording artist or developing their own unique voice.
Available to those five years old and older, students will have fun in a relaxing atmosphere while enjoying the many benefits associated with singing.
For example, according to research conducted at the University of Frankfurt, singing strengthens the immune system. It also increases lung capacity, can help with breath control and endurance and even improves posture.
Many experts believe singing can help strengthen throat and palate muscles, which can lead to a better night’s sleep. Singing is also a natural anti-depressant and while lowering stress levels, can improve overall mental alertness.
We offer in-person or online group and individual lessons in English and Spanish that allow students to learn within their own skill levels. In addition, students are encouraged to participate in our once-per-semester recitals to showcase their progression.
